Wellinks V2 Mobile Update

We are updating our Wellinks data system and enhancing our app to make it possible to offer some exciting new features in the future. We look forward to sharing more information on those benefits in upcoming notifications.

App Changes

You will notice some pages have changed in this mobile update. These include the following:

  • Bottom Nav has changed with Chat added and Help pushed to the top of the home page. Other Help links will be added in the future where needed. 
  • Chat view has been added to allow you to communicate with your coach. For more on this consult the Using Chat page. 
  • An updated Profile page (previously named the About page)
  • Improved help documentation and FAQs
  • Viewing and checking off action items that your coach has added
  • Viewing past action items
  • Tracking as needed doses from the home page
  • Design updates & bug fixes

What do I need to do for this update?

  1. Update your Wellinks Mobile App
  2. Update your Wellinks Password 

Mobile App Update

Your apps should update automatically if you have automatic updates enabled on your mobile device's preferences. To activate automatic updates or to update our app manually, you can take the following steps.

iOS

Enable All Automatic Updates

  1. Go to your phone's Settings > App Store
  2. Under Automatic Downloads, tap the switch for App Updates. You may not be able to enable this feature if you're in Low Battery Mode. 
  3. Enabling App Updates will allow all apps on your phone to update automatically.

If you already have Automatic Downloads turned on, you should see a yellow-orange dot on your Wellinks app icon when looking at your iPhone apps screen.

Update Manually

If you do not want to enable automatic updates for all apps on your phone, you can update the Wellinks app manually.

  1. Open the App Store app.
  2. Click the Search tab, and type in Wellinks.
  3. Click on Update.

Android

Enable All Automatic Updates

  1. Open the Google Play Store app Google Play.
  2. At the top right, tap the profile icon.
  3. Tap Settings and then Network Preferences and then Auto-update apps.
  4. Select an option:
    1. Over any network to update apps using either Wi-Fi or mobile data.
    2. Over Wi-Fi only to update apps only when connected to Wi-Fi.

Note: If an account on your device has a sign-in error, apps may not update automatically.

Update Manually

  1. Open the Google Play Store app 
  2. At the top right, tap the profile icon.
  3. Tap Manage apps & device. The Wellinks apps will be labeled with "Update available."
  4. Tap Update.

Password Update

Your password update will allow you to use the same password for the mobile app and upcoming web portal. 

After the mobile app update, either automatic or manual, on the login screen, follow the steps for "Trouble Logging In?".

You will need to navigate to your email inbox for the reset password link which only works for your email address. Please do not share the link. For this password change there are no restrictions on reusing your current password if you so desire. 

Resetting the password allows Wellinks to sync the two backend systems while keeping members data secure. We encourage customers to use strong, memorable and unique passwords to protect their health data.

Known Issues

Current Known Issues

  • On update you may not see previous chat conversations. If so please uninstall and reinstall the app. 
  • The first time someone logs in, their data may not load. Logging out and back in again should correct the issue
  • You may not see your past data immediately. Data is being migrated and checked over the next few days after the update. You can still add new readings in the meantime.
  • Attempting to add a reading from a Bluetooth connected device may crash the application for some devices. Manual entry of device readings continues to work. If you are having this problem an update has been released to fix this issue. Update your app to v2.0.1 or above
  • Members may not be able to export their data to use for in-person appointments with their healthcare team. The 'download reports' button has been removed during data migration. It will be readdressed in a future update.
    If you need a report in the meantime, please contact Wellinks Support using the email below. They will create the PDF and email it to you. 
  • The reports page, past readings, medications, assessments and the your Wellinks Team section may load intermittently. Sometimes this is caused by the app being left open overnight. Try the following methods in the following order to rectify the issue. Our engineers are currently working on this issue to resolve this problem. Version 2.0.4 should resolve this issue when released
    • Go to a different page or view and come back. 
    • Log out of the application and log back in.
    • Force quit the application from the home screen. Reopen the app. Login and then try adding a reading.  For more on how to do Force Quit on Android and iPhone see the related article below.
    • Update the app to the latest version.
    • If all else fails uninstall the Wellinks app and then re-install from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
