Why does my app log me out quicker if I don't have a PIN, face ID, or other device-level security set?

At Wellinks, keeping your personal data secure is a top priority.

To help keep your data safe and secure, our app has a quick logout time. If you are frequently getting logged out of the Wellinks app and having to log back in, this is likely because you do not have any device level security set (eg, a passcode or biometrics on your phone or tablet). 

Wellinks does not disclose your medical information without your express written consent, and only to the organizations/people that you specify. If your phone is left open in a public space or lost, anyone would be able to access your personal health information in the Wellinks app. Because we do not know why you are inactive or have left the app, you are automatically logged out for your security.

How do I stay logged in longer? 

If you have a PIN, Face ID, Fingerprint ID, or other device level security enabled, our app will have an extended logout time. With device-level security in place, it is less likely that an unauthorized person can gain access to your device and see your medical information, even if you are logged into the Wellinks app. 

if you would like to be able to stay logged in for a longer period of time, you will need to set up additional security on your phone or tablet.

Android: Instructions to set a PIN here. To see if your device has face ID, fingerprint ID or other biometric security, you can search for your device name and "set face ID" or "set fingerprint ID" in your prefered search engine.
